Rab Island:
Supetarska Draga
Following the road that leads to Lopar, 6 km long away from the old town
of Rab we arrive at Supetarska Draga. The settlement received its name
from a local church and monastery of St. Peter which was constructed in
the 11th century. The church of St. Peter is the oldest Romanesque church
in Croatia. Supetarska Draga is an ideal place for a vacation, with houses
located right next to the sea, a large Marina, good restaurants and friendly
locals.
The Bay is flanked by Gornja (Upper) and Donja (Lower) Supetarska Draga.
The settlement is especially interesting for nautical activities (sailing
and boating), providing quick access to local islands (Maman, Sridnjak
and Šailovac) and sheltered bays and sandy beaches totally protected from
unpleasant winds.
Many tenants receive new guests who accompany loyal long term guests.
The new guests quickly adapt to hospitable locals and a leisurely Mediterranean
lifestyle.
